I don't believe people should retire…not in the context you may think.

They don’t retire from competing.
They don’t retire from chasing goals.
They don’t retire from challenging ourselves.
They don’t retire from becoming who we could still become.

That's what NVR RTR means.

And long before it became a brand, it was simply the way I lived.

In 2007, while coaching high school basketball, I started organizing Sunday pickup games in my school's gym. Every Sunday. Week after week. Year after year.

Those games between former college players, friends, and former teammates became much more than basketball. They became a tradition.

Years went by, life changed, and so did the people who walked through those gym doors. Careers advanced. People got married. Children were born. Some guys moved away. Some got injured.

And over time I noticed something. The exits were starting to outnumber the arrivals.

It seemed there was this acceptance of the idea that there comes a point when athletes are supposed to stop being athletes.

But I never accepted that.

The Sunday Hoops eventually came to an end. And as I grew into 40s, I needed to fill that void.

I started playing softball on Mondays, Men’s League Basketball on Thursdays and Sundays.

I found my lane to keep going.

And I did just that. Kept going!

Then, on April 19, 2026, everything stopped. During a basketball game, I ruptured my Achilles tendon.

The first week after was filled with prayers, encouragement, and well wishes. Then the conversations changed.

I heard…

"I guess it's time to retire."

"You've had a good run."

I heard it from friends. I heard it from family. I heard it over and over again.

And every single time, my answer was exactly the same.

This is not the end!

It's surgery —> rehabilitation —> physical therapy.

And when that's finished...I'll be back.

Not because I'm trying to prove something to anyone else. Because this is who I am. That's when I realized something.

I Will Never Retire!

This was not an idea I randomly came up with. It had been the philosophy guiding my life all along.

NVR RTR wasn't born because I got injured. It was revealed because I got injured. The Achilles rupture simply forced me to give a name to a mindset I had already been living for decades.

Today, NVR RTR isn't a sports brand. It isn't an apparel company.

It's for the people who refuse to believe age is the finish line.

Life changes. Bodies change. Responsibilities change. But your willingness to grow, compete, and challenge yourself doesn't have to.

That's the mindset behind every product we create.

Because again, we're not selling clothing.

We're building a community of people who have decided that retirement isn't determined by a birthday, an injury, or someone else's expectations.

It's determined by one person. You!

Never Retire.
